Michael Schumacher has gained two places, pulling out of the pit-land very, very narrowly ahead of Irvine and Fisichella. Another brilliant pit lane performance by Schuey!

In quick succession, pit stops by Irvine (9"8), Fisichella (8"8), and race-leader Mika Hakkinen, in 7"8. Hakkinen relinquished his lead to Coulthard, but one lap later regained it, as Coulthard came in for his pit-stop.

Dates and times for the Spanish Grand Prix
With Imola behind us, the circus moves on to Barcelona. This circuit, situated to the north of the capital of Catalunya, is one of the best known to all the teams competing this season. During the close season, everybody ran long series of private tests on this fast and demanding circuit. In some case, the test programmes continue between grands prix. Such is the case at the present time...
